Even though Google has confirmed a few things about its next flagship b sharing the image, new reports about the smartphone keep pouring in. An Android Q code leak has now surfaced online that says that the secondary camera of will feature 16MP telephoto lens. We should mention that the camera of the Pixel devices is their most highlighted feature. The previous flagship smartphones – Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 – come with a single camera sensor on its back panel. In the picture that the company shared, it can be seen that Google Pixel 4 will come with dual rear camera sensors. This is the first time when the company will be launching its device with two cameras on its rear panel. But since the photo was released, fans were wondering only one thing: Whether Google Pixel 4 has a telephoto lens or an ultra-wide lens. A leak from Android Q last week suggested that the Pixel 4 smartphone will come with a telephoto lens. Now, according to Google’s Camera app code, the device will feature a 16MP telephoto lens. The code has been discovered in the beta version of Android Q with build number QP1A.190626.001. The Android Q beta 5 is scheduled to be released in August, but some users have already received the new update that will include the new Google Camera app v6.3 that also features a new location for Night Sight. According to XDA developers’ report, when they started scanning the code of the camera APK, it revealed a few more interesting features. They found out that changes were made to Google’s internal code name ‘sabre’ that is used for its super Res Zoom feature. Two new sensor IDs that were not present in the previous version APK were also found. The two mentioned IDs were ‘front IR’ and ‘rear telephoto’. The IR ID can indicate that the new upcoming device by Google will feature a third front camera along with a regular wide-angle front camera. This feature will be used for face recognition on the smartphone. The second ID indicates that the secondary rear camera will feature a telephoto lens instead of a wide-angle lens. The new telephoto lens will be helpful in capturing better quality zoom picture and portrait shots. Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL is expected to be launched globally, as well as in India, in either October or in early November. Apart from the dual rear-cameras, the Pixel 4 is also expected to feature an OLED screen, will come with up to 6GB RA and 64GB storage. The device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. For the latest gadget and tech news, and gadget reviews, follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
